Christian Scientists have been serving as “religious workers” in Washington state institutions and care facilities for decades. That means they support residents of local jails, state prisons, mental institutions, juvenile homes and care facilities through a variety of activities, including:
- meeting one-on-one with residents or inmates
- conducting Sunday Christian Science services
- conducting Sunday School classes
- supporting branch church-sponsored lectures
Sunrise Haven: Christian Science Nursing Service
Sunrise Haven is a non-profit Christian Science nursing service located in the Puget Sound region. We serve as a resource to our community for any need related to Christian Science nursing care. We do not provide medical care or employ medical staff, but instead support quick and whole healing through the study and practice of Christian Science.
Asher Houses are located in eight cities around the country, and each one offers an inviting, comfortable, safe, home-like base for students while they pursue their academic and career goals. Please be in touch with us to learn how you can be involved as a student, parent, local advisory council member, career mentor and/or financial sponsor.
Albert Baker Fund
We provide loans, scholarships and grants for the education of Christian Scientists around the world. We encourage each of our recipients to “pass the blessing forward” by contributing to the Christian Science Movement, their communities and the world.
