DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Michelle Nanouche. \nSpirituality and the practice of prayer isn’t a lifestyle choice for Michelle; it is basic to who she is. Her family was introduced to Christian Science through her dad’s healing of acute depression. She was exposed to the idea that God heals sickness from an early age. At twelve\, Michelle prayed to God to heal a foot wound. The quick healing fanned her interest in all things relating to God. In her last year of high school she took evening training to be a Christian Science nurse’s aide. Right after graduation\, she pursued training for the healing ministry of Christian Science nursing.Nine years as a Christian Science nurse provided her with loads of experience in healing through spiritual means. \nBy the time Michelle opened her first public office as a Christian Science practitioner in 1989\, she had witnessed a great number of healings through prayer. From personal experience\, she can share accounts of healings of broken bones\, tumors\, pneumonia\, eating disorders\, heart disease\, mental and emotional disorders\, financial difficulties and more. She has observed in the practice of Christian Science that following the example and teachings of Christ Jesus heals quickly and effectively. Mary Baker Eddy’s Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures unlocks the treasure trove of the Bible explaining the science of the Christ that heals. \nThrough honest talk about the questions skeptics ask\, Michelle’s lecture tackles the essentials of Christian Science – its theology\, its Christianity and its role in healing – giving an insider’s look at Christian Science treatment through prayer for physical cure. \nFor those who may have resisted a serious consideration of Christian Science\, this lecture gives a clear\, logical and compelling response to the following questions: \nHow is Christian Science prayer treatment on the cutting edge of healthcare?\nWhat distinguishes Christian Science from positive thinking or blind faith methods?\nHow is Christian Science both spiritual and scientific? \nThis lecture also presents the life of Mary Baker Eddy\, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science. DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Lisa Troseth. \nLisa Troseth\, practitioner of Christian Science healing and international speaker\, will present her talk\, “Moving past fear – to healing\,” Nov. 5 at 1:30 p.m. at the Gladish Community Center in Pullman\, Washington. \nThe talk will focus on universal healing precepts found in the Holy Bible\, especially in Christ Jesus’ life and teachings\, showing how they are available for anyone to understand and experience through the lens of Christian Science. The talk is free\, open to the community\, and sponsored by the Christian Science Society in Moscow\, Idaho. \n“Fear can be overcome and even healed in our lives by discovering the strong connection and relationship we have to something bigger than ourselves—God\,” says Troseth. “By learning to lean and rely on this greater\, higher good\, we can feel moved to love beyond ourselves—and this frees us from fear and so much more.” \nSharing examples of healing from her own life and professional practice of Christian Science\, Troseth will explain why Christian Science is both Christian and scientific\, meaning that people can prove its effectiveness for themselves\, as fully described in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures\, written by the founder of the Christian Science movement\, Mary Baker Eddy. \nTroseth will also touch on the life of Mary Baker Eddy\, who came to understand\, confirm\, and teach what she felt was original Christian healing. Eddy herself said she was especially inspired by Jesus’ demand\, “He that believes on me\, the works that I do will he do also; and greater works than these will he do\, because I go unto my Father” (found in the Gospel of John 14:12 in the Bible). \nFor over 150 years\, people around the world have worked to follow Christ Jesus in this practice of Christianity and continue to do so today\, experiencing healings of physical ills and personal difficulties. \nLisa Troseth has been a Christian Science practitioner for many years\, helping people on a daily basis through this scientific approach to prayer.  She travels from her home base in Rogers\, Arkansas\, to speak to audiences around the world as a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship. \n
