I wanted to experience God.”\n“My yearning was actually part of what I understand to be a larger spiritual revolution\,” says Giula. “This impulsion led me to Christian Science.” \nJoin us for this free Christian Science talk with Giulia Tetreau\, an international speaker and Christian Science healer\, on Saturday\, April 5\, at 11 a.m. at The Swedish Club\, 1920 Dexter Ave N\, Seattle\, WA. The talk is free\, open to the community\, and hosted by Twelfth Church of Christ\, Scientist\, Seattle. \n“Christian Science teaches that we all are God’s beloved children – always\, in all conditions – and that what’s true and enduring is the good in our nature.” Guilia continues\,  “These are and continue to be revolutionary concepts. So revolutionary that\, as they change our viewpoints about God and ourselves\, we can experience healing from disease and suffering as Jesus showed us.” \nAbout Giulia Nesi Tetreau\nSays Giulia: I’ve always loved people — their life stories\, their struggles\, their successes.  I regularly meet individuals actively cultivating their spiritual life.  And I love sharing Science and Health with them! \nI see much of my own journey in these seekers.  A few years into my career in the mental health field\, despite having achieved professional success\, I felt empty inside.  I had everything I’d been taught would make me happy but instead was dissatisfied and restless\, yearning for something deeper.  That’s when I was introduced to Christian Science through Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures\, by religious reformer\, Mary Baker Eddy.  In it\, I found a shared sacred space with the author and experienced a profound sense of coming home. \nSome years later\, I was compelled to leave my psychotherapy practice to focus completely on my Christian Science healing practice.  It was an imperative demand from within me — I had to be true to myself. “His word is in my heart like a fire…I am weary of holding it in” (Jer\, 20:9 – NIV)\, I needed to practice in the way I understood would be most helpful. \nSince then\, sharing the revolutionary message contained in the pages of Science and Health has been the cornerstone of my life.  I helped oversee the worldwide activity of bringing the book to a wider public audience.  I also managed a special project established to respond to the growing interest from health care professionals in learning more about Christian Science. I’ve lectured to the public in a variety of settings and venues\, from prisons to professional health care audiences and everything in between. DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Alexandre Fischer. \n“We are not stuck!” says Alex Fischer. “Understanding more clearly our relationship with God\, infinite good\, ends fear and leads the way forward.” \nAlex Fischer\, practitioner of Christian Science healing and international speaker\, will present his talk\, “How spiritual perception brings healing” on Saturday\, March 2\, at 11 a.m. Alex will speak at The Swedish Club\, 1920 Dexter Ave N\, Seattle\, WA 98109. \nAlex’s talk will focus on universal healing precepts found in the Holy Bible\, especially in Christ Jesus’ life and teachings\, showing how they are available for anyone to understand and experience through the lens of Christian Science. The talk is free\, open to the community\, and sponsored by 12th Church of Christ\, Scientist\, Seattle. \nSharing examples of healing from his own life and professional practice of Christian Science\, Fischer will explain why Christian Science is both Christian and scientific\, meaning that people can prove its effectiveness for themselves\, as fully described in the book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures\, written by the founder of the Christian Science movement\, Mary Baker Eddy. \nFischer will also touch on the life of Mary Baker Eddy\, who came to understand\, confirm\, and teach what she felt was original Christian healing. Eddy herself said she was especially inspired by Jesus’ demand\, “He that believes on me\, the works that I do will he do also; and greater works than these will he do\, because I go unto my Father” (found in the Gospel of John 14:12 in the Bible). \nAbout Alex \nPracticing law in France and the United States for several years informed Alex’s practice of Christian Science. The law was not just his job\, he says\, it was his passion. To Alex\, being a good lawyer meant exercising the ability to think precisely and feeling a desire to help others get out of trouble. \nDuring his years as a lawyer\, his interest in Christian Science grew. At first\, he was impressed by its remarkable healings and resolutions\, but as he dug deeper\, he found a profound spirituality. He used to believe that religion and spirituality meant accepting a system of beliefs and letting go of discernment and critical thinking. But the more he studied and practiced this spirituality\, the more he found that one’s relationship with God requires critical thinking to understand spiritual concepts. These concepts can in turn be applied to one’s life to bring healing. \nGradually\, he gave up his law practice to become a full-time Christian Science practitioner. Alex still works to help others “get out of trouble\,” that is\, to overcome a sense of limitation and to find freedom. \nAlex discovered that Christian Science is not just about feeling better or fixing problems. It’s about being willing to challenge one’s world view as entirely molecule-based and soulless\, to be open to see the world as spiritually-based\, and experience how this change in perspective brings inner peace and healing. Christian Science helps us understand our relationship with God\, infinite good\, more clearly. Its teachings help us see Christ Jesus’ message in a non-dogmatic way\, bringing healing\, harmony and freedom to our life. \nThrough healing and lecturing\, Alex works to enable others to find this same freedom.
