DESCRIPTION:L. Ivimy Gwalter wrote\, “The only healer is divine Love. Let us pray for this Love to inhabit our hearts. Our work in demonstrating Christian Science must be carried on with great love.” Miss Gwalter wrote many articles for the Christian Science periodicals across a period of eight decades\, including “Target out of range.” She also served as a Christian Science practitioner\, teacher\, and member of the Christian Science Board of Directors. In this program\, we’ll read and listen to excerpts from her writings.

DESCRIPTION:Dr. John M. Tutt received an M.D. degree in 1901. He had a Christian Science healing in 1905 and left the medical profession to become a Christian Science practitioner and teacher. We’ll read his article “Mary Baker Eddy: Her influence upon medicine\,” originally published in 1966 in The Christian Science Journal and reprinted in Mary Baker Eddy: A Centennial Appreciation. And we’ll listen to two more of his Journal articles (including “Wiser than serpents”) that have been reprinted and recorded in pamphlets and Anthology of Classic Articles.

DESCRIPTION:Come to the Edmonds Christian Science Reading Room on Friday May 9th at 12:30pm to listen to two recorded segments of We Knew Mary Baker Eddy: Vol 1 – reminiscences of early Christian Science practitioner Abigail Dyer Thompson\, and Annie M Knott\, who served the cause of Christian Science as practitioner\, teacher\, lecturer\, associate editor\, and member of the Christian Science Board of Directors\, We’ll also read a short passage from Robert Peel’s Mary Baker Eddy\, The Years of Authority about John Salchow\, who worked for Mrs. Eddy from 1901 to 1910.
