Julian Alco film. The Julian Alco Story is wonderfully refreshing for current workers, and a true inspiration for institutional work.

A Brief Summary of Julian Alco’s life
• Introduced to Christian Science by his mother / both had been members of the Jewish faith
• Studied with Sue Ella Bradshaw in 1914, a pupil of Mary Baker Eddy
• Joined San Francisco CS Church in 1914 / appointed CS Chaplain at San Quentin in 1916
• CS Journal listed Practitioner / Healer in 1922 at 40 years old
• Appointed Director, CA State Board of Prisons by Governor Friend W. Richardson in 1924
• Became temporary Warden of San Quentin Prison after a kidnapping and breakout in 1935
• Started lecturing around the world on prison reform in 1943
• Last CS Journal listing as Practitioner in January 1953
