Sunrise Haven Annual Meeting

Sunrise Haven invites you and your family and friends to the Sunrise Haven Annual Meeting on July 27, 2025, 2:00-3:30pm.

Please join us to hear updates on the progress at our Christian Science nursing facility and to enjoy the interactive talk on “Good Shepherd Leadership and the Talent of Spiritual Healing,” given by Dr. Joan Bernard Bradley.

Sunrise Haven needs Volunteers

We’re looking for a few helpful hands to support our Annual Meeting at the Christian Science Reading Room in Issaquah. Volunteers should feel welcome to attend church and serve when they are available during the shifts below.

First shift

9 – 10 AM: Set up tents and chairs, with time to attend Issaquah church at 10:30 (6 min. away)

Second Shift

12 – 1 PM: Set up and serve lunch outside the Reading Room.

Third Shift

1 – 2 PM: Serve lunch as more people arrive, then clean up at the Reading Room.

2 – 3:30 PM: Annual Meeting

Fourth Shift

3:30 – 4 PM: Folding up chairs and tents.

About Dr. Joan Bernard Bradley:

Dr. Bradley earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from St. Louis University, Missouri. You may know her from her classes at Principia Summer Session and her many contributions to the Christian Science periodicals. Also as a guest on Sentinel Watch and the Daily Lift.

She is an Executive Leadership Coach who gives Bible-based leadership workshops for Christian Science organizations including Christian Science nursing facilities, schools and camps.

During her career, Joan served as Professor of Education at Daemen University, New York; Elementary Principal at Claremont Fan-Court School, England; and Museum Director at Principia.

As a new student of Christian Science, her young son had a quick healing of asthma. Her workshops express her gratitude and joy.
